Larissa held to home draw by PAS Giannina
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 13
|Larissa||1 - 1||PAS Giannina|
|Nazlidis (P) 5'||Conde 55'|
Larissa missed out on the chance to move further away from the lower echelons of the SuperLeague on Sunday after they were held to a 1-1 home draw by PAS Giannina, while Panaitolikos let a two-goal lead slip in a 2-2 draw at Lamia.
Greek striker Thomas Nazlidis have Ilias Fyntanis Larissa side a dream start by opening the scoring after just five minutes from the penalty spot.
But PAS, who are without a win since matchday nine and who have become somewhat draw specialists of late, fought their way back into the match and pulled level 10 minutes into the second half through prolific Spanish forward Pedro Conde.
Both sides missed chances to win the match with a tightly-contested affair at the AEL FC Arena ending all-square.
The result means Larissa remain in 13th place with 14 points, three points clear of the relegation places, while PAS leapfrog Panathinaikos into eighth place with 16 points.
|Lamia||2 - 2||Panetolikos|
Meanwhile in Lamia, Makis Chavos’ Panaitolikos went into a 2-0 lead at half-time thanks to goals from Farley Vieira Rosa (12) and Jorge Luis Diaz Guiterrez (24), but they were pegged back after the home side responded strongly.
Noe Costa pulled a goal back for Lamia in the 69th minute, before Patrick Vouho struck in the seventh minute of added time to break Panaitolikos hearts.
The goal was preceded by the dismissal of Panaitolikos’ Bolivian defender Danny Bejarano for picking up a second booking, while an ill-tempered end to the match saw the hosts have two players sent off, Noe Costa and goalkeeper Nikos Papadopoulos.
