|Conde 49'||Jendrisek 87'|
Erik Jendrišek struck a late equaliser for Xanthi to salvage a point in a 1-1 draw at PAS Giannina in the opening match of SuperLeague matchday 12 on Saturday, while Apollon Smyrni climbed out of the bottom two after claiming a point in a 1-1 home draw with Lamia afterwards.
The Slovakian forward, who also scored twice in his team’s previous 2-0 win over Panionios, was on target three minutes from full-time to level matters after Pedro Conte has opened the scoring for PAS at the Zosimades stadium.
That secured a crucial point for Xanthi, who remain in fifth spot with 17 points from 12 matches so far, while PAS are right behind just two points adrift in sixth.
|Apollon Smyrnis||1 - 1||Lamia|
|Elbaz 88'||Piti (P) 90'+1'|
Apollon Smyrni climbed out of the bottom by a single point after late drama saw them held to a 1-1 home draw against Lamia.
Chances were few and far between in a tightly-contested matchday 12 clash at Rizoupoli which saw defences on top for long spells, with both goals coming in the closing minutes during a breathless finish.
Israel forward Eli Elbaz looked to have won the game for Zoran Vulic’s home side when he scored two minutes from full-time, but there was a twist in the tale as Spanish striker Piti netted from the penalty spot in the second minute of added time.
As a result, Apollon moved from 15th up to 14th spot in the standings with 11 points, while Lamia remain unmoved in 10th place with 14 points.
