Giannis Maniatis has agreed to a deal with Turkish side Alanyaspor and is expected to sign a contract with the club in the coming days. Alanyaspor is the home of current Greece international, Georgios Tzavellas, and the two players will be teammates once again at the club level after the two enjoyed a common spell at Panionios in the past.

The two Greece internationals have had rocky relations in the past after a disagreement during the 2014 Greek Cup semifinals between Olympiacos and PAOK, which then carried over to their presence in the national team during the 2014 World Cup. However, that is all in the past and the two have restored their relations (as clearly seen in the national team) and they will likely be teammates at Alanyaspor

Maniatis joined Atromitos in January where he played for the second half of the 2016/17 season, but did not renew his contract with the Peristeri club. The 30-year old has been a consistent call-up to the Ethniki under Michael Skibbe and will look to keep Skibbe’s trust with his displays at his new club.

Tasos Donis is expected to continue his career with Stuttgart as the German club has been interested in the Greece international for some time. Stuttgart, who finished first in last year’s 2. Bundesliga, have agreed to a €3 million offer (plus bonuses) with Juventus (own Donis’ rights) and the deal is expected to be finalized in the coming days.

Donis earned his first call up and cap with the national team in June when Greece traveled to Bosnia in World Cup qualifying. The 21-year old had a successful loan spell in France with Nice (from Juventus)  where he made 22 appearances and scored 5 goals. A reminder that Nice finished third in the French Ligue 1 last season and will play in the Champions League this season.
