Manolas’ availability for Greece in question after injury with Roma
Kostas Manolas suffered an injury over the weekend with Roma and his availability for Greece’s upcoming World Cup qualifying playoffs is in question.
The 25-year old suffered an injury over the weekend in Roma’s Serie A fixture at home to Napoli and was subbed off midway through the second half. Monday’s medical tests revealed a first degree muscle strain that will leave the Roma defender sidelined for roughly 3-4 weeks.
Manolas will miss the rest of Roma’s fixtures until the international break and he will undergo a recovery program with hopes of being ready for Greece’s World Cup qualifying playoffs on November 9-11 and November 12-14. As of now, his availability for Greece’s all-important matches in November is still in question.
