Manolas: “I am already better…”
Kostas Manolas will likely be fit in time for Greece’s World Cup qualifying playoffs against Croatia in November.
After suffering a grade 1 muscle injury last week in Roma’s Serie A fixture against Napoli, Kostas Manolas was ruled unavailable for 3 weeks, leaving his fitness in question for Greece’s World Cup qualifying playoffs against Croatia in November. However, Manolas’ recovery process is going better than expected and his return to the pitch is likely to come quicker than originally proposed.
“I am already better, I feel very good and I hope to get back to the action quicker than I thought. I will continue to follow my doctor’s directions” is what Manols stated to the newspaper Messaggero. He went on to say that he will be ready for Greece’s qualifier against Croatia and could even make it back in time for Roma’s fixture against Fiorentina on November 5th, before the international break.
If Manolas’ recovery process continues to go according to plan, he will be back in action in early November. A reminder, Greece will face Croatia in a two-legged playoff on November 9th and 12th for a ticket to the 2018 World Cup.
