AS Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas is a member of the top 100 players in the world in terms of market value, with the Greek boasting a tag of 35 million euros after an impressive season in Italy.

Using statistics provided by Transfermarkt, the online website popular for player comparison and value, 26-year old Kostas Manolas is the 100th most expensive player on the planet with a price tag of 35 million. During the 2017/2018 season, Manolas made headlines all over the world in the UEFA Champions League, scoring an historic goal to complete a memorable comeback against Barcelona in the quarter-final stage. Interestingly, in the same competition, Manolas clocked a maximum speed of 33.1 kilometers per hour, making him the fifth fastest player in the tournament behind Kyle Walker (33.3), Ousmane Dembele (33.3), Marcus Rashford (33.5) and Mohamed Salah (33.8).

Manolas joined AS Roma from Olympiacos for 15 million in August 2014, arriving in the Italian capital with real promise after proving his talent in the Super League. Since then, the defender has improved greatly, becoming an irreplaceable figure at the back for the Greek national team and club side Roma. Overall, Manolas made 29 Serie A appearances in the current season, registering two goals along the way.
 

Asides from Manolas, the two other most expensive Greeks are Sokratis Papastathopoulos (20 million) and Panagiotis Retsos (18 million). According to various media reports, Papastathopoulos is on the verge of joining Arsenal after a five-year spell at Borussia Dortmund, while 19-year old Retsos shone for Bayer Leverkusen in his debut Bundesliga campaign.
