GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 12
|Levadiakos||3 - 0||Iraklis|
Two goals in three minutes, and a third late in the game, gave Levadiakos a 3-0 victory over Iraklis. Giakoumakis and Silva scored in the 72nd and 75th minutes to give Levadiakos a commanding lead and Mantzios capped off a great night for the hosts.
In Livadeia, Levadiakos hosted Iraklis in a relegation “derby” for Matchday 12 of the Greek SuperLeague. The first half saw Levadiakos create two good chances with Silva in a on goal but, on both attempts he was denied by Huanderson.
After a goalless first half, Levadiakos looked more determined to find an early goal and take control of the match. However, similar to other fixtures this season, Iraklis fought hard to hold onto the result, creating opportunities to find the opener, but in the end came away empty handed. It took three minutes for Levadiakos to seal all three points as Giakoumakis scored the opener in the 72nd minute and Silva doubled his side's lead in the 75th minute. Mantzios served the assist with a header to Giakoumakis, who found the back of the net with a header of his own, and Silva’s header from Milhazes’ cross gave Levadiakos the 2-0 lead. Mantzios added a third goal late in the game to cap off a great night for the hosts.
The win moves Levadiakos farther away from the relegation zone as Iraklis continues to sit in last place with only three points from nine games. Levadiakos will have an extremely tough test next week at the Karaiskaki Stadium against Olympiacos while Iraklis host PAS Giannina.
