After clinching the Portuguese Primeira Liga title a few weeks ago, Kostas Mitroglou and Andreas Samaris’ Benfica completed the Portuguese double by defeating Guimaraes 2-1 in Sunday’s Cup final. Benfica scored two goals early in the second half through Jimenez and Salvio before Zungu pulled on back for Guimares, however the Eagles held onto the 2-1 victory.

Mitroglou did not make an appearance in Sunday’s final while Andreas Samaris was subbed on in the 24th minute for Fejsa. The Greek duo celebrated the double together with a Greek flag, representing Greek football at the highest level.
