Olympiacos have set Gonzalo Rodriguez as their number one target for their backline in the offseason. The Fiorentina captain’s contract with the Florence club ends this summer and Olympiacos have put a very good offer on the table for the 33-year old defender. The Erythrolefki see him as a “new Mellberg” with great abilities and experience while playing many season in the Italian Serie A and UEFA Competitions with Fiorentina.

According to reports, only Lazio and Olympiacos have placed offers for Rodriguez with the Greek Champions’ offer looking very inviting at the moment. Fiorentina played their final game of the season on Sunday and Olympiacos will wait within the week for Rodriguez's response. His manager stated “ Rodriguez’s future could be in Greece. Olympiacos’ offer is very good.”

Olympiacos have not forgotten about Joel Campbell who enjoyed a successful loan spell at the club during the 2013/14 season (32 appearances, 8 goals). Campbell has yet to convince Arsenal that he deserves a permanent place on the team and after another year on loan (at Sporting Lisbon) and with his contract ending next year, the London side could very well sell the Costa Rica international. Olympiacos are also rumored to make a move for their former player Vladimir Weis for the wing position.

The Piraeus side are also interested in Chilean striker Felipe Mora. The Universidad de Chile player was the leading scorer in the Chilean League this season (20 goals in 30 matches) and the club sees him as a good option for the attacking line. However, he has given mixed signals in recent interviews about making the jump to Europe or staying in Chile to play in the Copa Libertadores.
