In late February, PAOK hosted Olympiacos at the Toumba Stadium, but the match never started after visiting head coach Oscar Garcia was struck in the mouth by a flying object from the crowd. PAOK were initially handed a 0:3 loss, a deduction of three points and ordered to play two home games behind closed doors, however the punishment was reduced to just a 0:3 defeat to Olympiacos without any additional point deductions or games without fans after their first appeal proved to be successful.
Nevertheless, the case was then taken to the Hellenic Football Federation’s Arbitration Court. PAOK wanted to replay the game, while Olympiacos were keen for the Dikefalos tou Vorra to have their points deduction reinstated. After the matter was analysed, the new appeals from both clubs were dismissed and PAOK only receive a 0:3 loss to Olympiacos and a fine of 20 thousand euros. PAOK do not lose any points from the Super League standings.
A decision surrounding the PAOK - AEK match, in which play was suspended after chaos erupted on the pitch, is still yet to arrive.
