Olympiacos clinched home court advantage for the Basket League playoffs with their blowout win over Kymis while Panathinaikos demolished PAOK at the OAKA Nick Galis Indoor Hall. Aris came back to defeat AEK and claim fourth place in the regular season. Highlights for each game can be found here...

Olympiacos clinched first place in the Greek A1 Basket League regular season after defeating Kymis 93-45 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium. It was an easy night for the Erythrolefki as they prepare for the Euroleague playoffs against Anadolu Efes. 

Young led Olympiacos with 16 points while Spanoulis and Papapetrou added 14 and 13 points, respectively. The win secured Olympiacos home court advantage in the Greek Basket League playoffs for the sixth time in seven years. Kymi, who mathematically kept their place in the First Division with their win last weekend over Apollon patras, will now begin their preparations for next year’s A1 Season.

Similar to Olympiacos, Panathinaikos had an easy night on Thursday, demolishing PAOK 102-58 in Athens. The Prasini claim second place for the regular season with a 25-1 record while PAOK dropped to 5th with a 14-12 record.

Five Panathinaikos players finished with double digit points including James (20), Singleton (17), Rivers (14), Bourousis (11), and Feldeine (11). Panathinaikos, who are in great form, will now face Fenerbahce in the crucial Euroleague playoffs.

The other Athens-Thessaloniki derby saw Aris come back from a 13-point deficit to defeat AEK 81-77. AEK took an early lead in the opening half, but Aris turned this around after the halftime break to jump ahead of PAOK and finish fourth in this year’s regular season. Cummings led Aris’ charge with 24 points. Despite the loss, AEK finished third in the regular season.
