Olympiacos were defeated 77-69 away to Anadolu Efes in a match that had little effect on their place in the Euroleague standings.
Olympiacos will finish third in the Euroleague regular season after they were defeated 77-69 away to Anadolu Efes in today's 29th round clash. The Erythrolefki were without the injured Matt Lojeski, while Milutinov was ruled unavailable just before tip off as he suffered from gastroenteritis. Olympiacos lost another key player midway through the game when Green left the match with an injury.
Efes took charge from the beginning of the game, needing a victory more than the Greek Champions. The Turkish side kept a comfortable lead for most of the match, despite Olympiacos cutting the difference to only two points in the fourth quarter (60-58). However Efes went on a 6-0 run, which ultimately pushed them to victory.
Printezis led Olympiacos in scoring, finishing the game with 16 points and 9 rebounds while Spanoulis recorded a double double with 11 points and 10 assists.
The result will keep Efes in sixth place and Olympiacos remain third. With one game remaining in the regular season it is very likely that Olympiacos and Efes will meet up in the playoffs with third placed Olympiacos enjoying home court advantage in the best of five series.
