Anthony Mounier’s late equalising penalty for Panathinaikos resulted in Olympiacos registering only one point in games against the struggling Greens this season. In the first half of the campaign, Olympiacos fell to Panathinaikos 0:1 at the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium. The reigning Greek champions failed to take any points against leaders AEK, losing 2:3 and 1:2 respectively.
One point from matches against Panathinaikos and AEK is Olympiacos’ worst performance in 58 years! In the 1959/1960 season, Olympiacos also only gained the single point in games with their Athens rivals, earning a 0:0 draw with Panathinaikos while losing the other three matches.
The last season when Olympiacos didn’t beat either Panathinaikos or AEK was back in the 1995/1996 campaign (two draws, two defeats).
At the moment, Olympiacos occupy third position of the Super League, trailing first-placed AEK by seven points with six rounds remaining.*
