Olympiacos Set to Compete in LEN Champions League Final 8
Olympiacos’ men’s water polo team will head to Genoa, Italy to compete in the LEN Champions League Final 8.

The Erythrolefki will open play on June 7 against Spandau 04 of Germany in the quarterfinals. Olympiacos, who finished first in Group A during the regular season with 37 points, will be looking for their second Champions League title in club history. Aside from winning in 2002, Olympiacos were also runner-up in 2001 and 2016. On the other hand, the Germans are looking for their fifth Champions League title, but first since 1989. Spandau 04 reached the quarterfinals by finishing fourth in Group B with 25 points.
The winner of this quarter final encounter will take on the winner of the match between ZF Eger of Hungary and CNA Barceloneta of Spain in the semifinals on June 8. The losers will face each other in the consolation rounds.
The Champions League final will take place on June 9, and the other four teams competing are Pro Recco of Italy, AN Brescia of Italy, Jug CO of Croatia, and Szolnoki VSC of Hungary. It should be noted that Szolnoki VSC are the defending champions.
