Panathinaikos’ Impressive Home Record Since Ouzounidis’ Take Over
Panathinaikos have only conceded one goal at home and have remained undefeated at Leoforos since Marinos Ouzounidis' take over in December.
Ouzounidis has made a big impact at Panathinaikos since taking over the club in December and this can be seen through two impressive statistics. First, Panathinaikos have gone 17 matches at home undefeated in both the Superleague and Cup. His first match in charge was against PAOK where Panathinaikos were victorious 1-0 at the Apostolos Nikolaidis stadium and on Sunday, Panathinaikos played their final home match of the season defeating Panionios 1-0.
In addition, Panathinaikos have only conceded one goal at home in those 17 fixtures and that was against Platanias in a 2-1 win in the Superleague regular season.
The abandoned playoff fixture against PAOK is included in the above statistics where Panathinaikos held a 1-0 lead until the 52nd minute. However, after Monday’s court decision Panathinaikos forfeited the match and were penalized with a 0-3 loss on paper.
