Panathinaikos sign Dioudis
On Tuesday, Panathinaikos officially announced the signing of Greek goalkeeper Sokratis Dioudis.
As expected, Panathinaikos have completed another summer signing with Greek goalkeeper Sokratis Dioudis. The two sides came to an agreement a few days ago and the 24-year old signed his new 3-year deal with the Trifylli. Dioudis will be a backup to Odisseas Vlachodimos and will take the place of Luke Steele, who is expected to leave the cub. The former Aris player is Panathinaikos’ sixth signing of the summer after Altman, Kolovetsios, Cabezas, Luciano, and Johansson.
Dioudis began his career with Aris where he remained from 2011-2014 registering 44 appearances before moving to Belgium for Club Brugge from 2014-2016. His last season with Brugge, he played on loan at Panionios where he made 21 appearances. Last season he signed with Football League side Aris and was the club’s starting goalkeeper. He has made a total of 104 appearances in the Superleague, Football league, and Cup and played with all of Greece’s youth national teams from 2009-2014 registering 28 caps.
