The first set began with both Thessaloniki teams tied at 8-8, before PAOK would end up taking it comfortably by a score of 25-18. Iraklis would take a 7-9 lead in the second set, but it would not last, as PAOK rallied from behind to win the second set 25-16.
The third set would be close early on, with PAOK holding a narrow 12-10 lead, and this would late be a 15-13 lead. PAOK would not allow Iraklis to get back into the match, as they would claim the third set 25-18 and clinch a 3-0 victory.
This is the second time in PAOK men’s volleyball history that they have won the Greek Cup, as they had also won back in 2015. For their fans, beating historic rivals Olympiacos in the semifinal and Iraklis in the final must make this trophy even sweeter.
Now, all focus shifts to the Volley League, where PAOK will hope to win their fourth consecutive title. Their semifinal series against Foinikas Syrou is set to begin on April 25.
