PAOK cruise to fifth successive SuperLeague victory at Kerkyra
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 17
|Kerkyra||0 - 3||PAOK|
PAOK looked every inch a SuperLeague title contender on Sunday as they showed a ruthless streak to dispatch Kerkyra 3-0 away from home in a one-sided matchday 17 clash on the island of Corfu.
Brazilian defender Leo Matos opened the scoring for the Salonica club in the 23rd minute, before Djalma Campos (54) and Greece international midfielder Dimitris Pelkas (78) added further goals in the second half.
That sealed a comfortable second victory of 2018 for Razvan Lucescu’s side, who chalked up a fifth win in a row in the process - a sequence of results which has brought 16 goals without conceding a single strike.
The last time PAOK dropped any league points or conceded a league goal was a 2-2 draw at Panionios on November 26.
The win lifted PAOK above leaders Olympiacos, who host Lamia on Monday night, into top spot with 37 points, a total which third-placed AEK can match if they beat PAS Giannina later on Sunday.
