After a dull and goalless first half, the Black and Whites fell behind to Stanislav Bilenkyi’s glanced header from Andriy Bogdanov’s free-kick in the 49th minute.

But Aleksandar Stanojević’s men did not lose heart and pulled a goal back 10 minutes later through Henrique, who slide the ball home through teh home keeper's legs from a tight angle.

The scoring ended there and it’s a result which sets PAOK up nicely for next week’s return leg at the Toumba stadium on Thursday, August 3.

And the players, officials and fans will be hoping that the SuperLeague club can finish the job on home soil to take their place in next Friday’s draw for the playoffs, the final step before the lucrative group stages.
