With the summer transfer window approaching, PAOK are already lining up potential deals. Among their main targets are Hamburg centre-back Kyriakos Papadopoulos and PAS Giannina forward Pedro Conde, players which the Dikefalos tou Vorra believe will help PAOK mount a serious challenge to win the Super League and perform successfully on the European stage.
However, PAOK might have to work hard in order to convince Papadopoulos to join the Thessaloniki side. The 26-year old hasn’t ruled out a move back home to Greece, but he did reveal that his preferred choice is to continue playing abroad. The potential PAOK transfer depends on how Hamburg finish the Bundesliga season and if they are relegated.
The Conde deal looks more likely to occur with reports suggesting the deal will be finalised when the current season concludes. PAOK’s board has given manager Razvan Lucescu the green light for the signing, with the club willing to match the release clause of 900 thousand euros. Conde has spent the last two seasons playing in Greece with PAS Giannina, scoring an impressive 31 goals in just 52 appearances in all competitions.
