PAOK ranked world’s most in-form team
Winning nine consecutive Super League matches, PAOK occupy first place in the table, breaking a number of club records along the way.

Following the 3:0 victory against AEL on Monday, the Dikefalos made it nine successive wins in the Super League. This has now beaten the previous best of eight victories set back in the 1972/1973 and 1997/1998 seasons. Amazingly, during that time, PAOK have scored an impressive 26 goals and conceded just the one.

Such unstoppable form has fired PAOK to first place in the standings, but while they are well clear of third placed Olympiacos, the Dikefalos are only two points ahead of second placed AEK. The top two meet at the Toumba Stadium in a potential title showdown on March 11.

In all competitions, the Thessaloniki outfit have won a huge fourteen matches in a row, making PAOK’s the planet’s best club at this moment in time. Bayern Munich (Germany) sit in second spot with 12 successive wins, while Juventus (Italy), Al Ahly (Egypt), FC Santa Coloma (Andorra) and Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar) have taken joint third.
Only taking into account the domestic championship, Bayern Munich have also won nine matches on the trot. In 21 fixtures, the Super League leaders have only let in an astounding eight goals, sharing third position in the world with Valletta (Malta) and Crvena zvezda (Serbia). Viktoria Plzen (Czech Republic) lead the way with five conceded goals in 16 Czech league matches.
The main reason behind PAOK’s stunning season is the atmospheric Toumba Stadium.
