The Greek international has attracted interest from a number of clubs abroad willing to offer PAOK a sum of money close to Pelkas’ release clause. If Pelkas was to depart the club, it would be a major loss for the Dikefalos tou Vora as he has played a key role in PAOK’s successful season while recently racking up his 100th appearance in his second stint in Thessaloniki.
It is understood that PAOK president, Ivan Savvidis, is willing to sell players who are attracting interest from clubs abroad for satisfactory prices. Pelkas is one of those players who is reportedly set to depart the club, as PAOK look to follow in Olympiacos’ footsteps, who in recent years have sold players for extraordinary transfer fees for Greece’s standards.
