Plenty of Greek and Croatian players walking a tightrope in Zagreb
Greece and Croatia are preparing to do battle in the first leg of the 2018 FIFA World Cup playoffs in Zagreb, but plenty of players run the risk of missing the decisive return match.
With Greece already missing Kostas Manolas for the first match due to a contentious suspension, there is a possibility that other key players could find themselves disqualified before the crucial second leg. Giorgos Tzavellas, Vassilis Torosidis, Kostas Stafylidis, Kostas Mitroglou and Panagiotis Retsos are all just one yellow card away from a suspension, something which the Greeks could really do without.
Nevertheless, Croatia find themselves in the same boat. Moreover, seven of their players are walking a tightrope. Marcelo Brozovic, Nikola Kalinic, Ivan Perisic, Josip Pivaric, Marko Rog, Domagoj Vida and Sime Vrsaljko are the men who will have to be on their best behaviour in Zagreb.
