In the last match of the Euroleague regular season, CSKA Moscow hosted Olympiacos in a game that would have no impact on the final standings. CSKA had secured second place for the regular season before tip-off while Olympiacos claimed third place.

Today's matchup saw CSKA take an early lead and hold a double digit advantage for most of the game. However, a fourth quarter push from Olympiacos brought the Greek side back on level terms (81-81) with just over a minute remaining.

The former Olympiacos player, Milos Teodosic, regave CSKA the lead with a difficult shot, where he was fouled and converted the free throw, before Higgins put CSKA up by five points (86-81). Despite, Papapetrou’s three pointer to bring Olympiacos within two points (84-86), the hosts held on for the 90-86 victory.

A very positive takeaway from today's game is Papapetrou’s performance as he put up 16 points along with Spanoulis. Papanikolaou added 13 points while Printezis and Mantzaris each scored 12 points.

The loss brought Olympiacos’’ record to 19-11 for the regular season and as the third placed team, they will face sixth placed Anadolu Efes in the playoffs. The Erythrolefki will enjoy home court advantage in the best of five series for a place in the final four.

If Olympiacos advance past Efes and CSKA advances past Baskonia, the two teams will meet in the Final-4 in Turkey.
