Tomorrow Greece will face Bosnia in Zenica in a very important World Cup qualifier for Group H. According to reports, the German coach has decided who will start for Greece with Olympiacos’ youngster Panagiotis Retsos set to have a spot in Greece’s starting XI. Despite having earned his first call up to the Men’s team, Retsos is expected to start in the left back position.
Skibbe will display the team in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Karnezis to return under the goalposts after suffering an injury before Greece’s last game against Belgium. From right to left the Greek backline will be Torosidis, Papastathopoulos, Manolas, and Retsos while Zeca and Tziolis will play in the holding midfield position. Fortounis will be the central attacking midfielder with Mantalos to his right and Stafylidis to his left as Mitroglou will look to strike again as the lone forward.
Greece will have four key players suspended including Tzavellas, Samaris, K. Papadopoulos, and Tachtsidis. The four traveled to Zenica to support the national team for the big game.
As for Bosnia they will play in a 4-4-2 with Begovic; Vranjes, Bicakcic, Dumic, Zukanovic; Jajalo, Pjanic; Lulic, Visca; Dzeko, and Ibisevic
