Sotiriou’s Move to Copenhagen Made Official
Pieros Sotiriou’s move from APOEL to Copenhagen is now official, as both teams announced the transfer through their official websites.
Sotiriou’s move to Copenhagen, which will cost the Danish side €2.5 Million, is the highest deal in Cypriot football history. APOEL could also receive up to an additional €600,000 through bonuses depending on the successes of Pieros future team in European competitions.
The striker signed a 5-year contract with the Danish side.
Olympiacos Nicosia, the team that first introduced Pieros, will also benefit from the deal and will receive €75,000 which will help them in their preparations for a much awaited return to the First Division.
However, Pieros will first want to finish the season with APOEL with hopes of winning this year's League and Cup double before making the move to Denmark and begin his European dream.
