A survey conducted by EuroLeague Basketball, the general managers of the 16 teams taking part shared their thoughts about their rivals with clubs like Olympiacos, CSKA Moscow, and defending champions Fenerbahce among those to receive high praise.

The first part of a two-part survey focused on teams in the EuroLeague with five questions focused on the best teams and coaches in the competition.

One of the questions was focused around which four clubs will make this season’s Final Four. Both CSKA Moscow (12-4) and Fenerbahce (10-6) were unanimous responses to the question, while Olympiacos (12-4) ranked third with 93.12% of the vote.

Real Madrid (10-6) were the fourth highest club in the survey (52.51%), while Panathinaikos (11-5) finished fifth in voting (44.61%).

EuroLeague general managers were also asked about which team is the most “uncomfortable opponent.” Russian giants CSKA Moscow again led the voting with nearly half of the votes, with Fenerbahce ranked second (25.00%) and Olympiacos rounding out the top three (12.50%).

Spanish giants Real Madrid were voted the most exciting team to watch with the high praise likely coming from the dynamic plays usually pulled-off by the likes of Luka Doncic and co.

Zalgiris Kaunas were voted the “surprise team” thanks to their unexpected 10-6 start to the season which has the Lithuanian side sitting in a play-off spot through 16 rounds of action.

Former Panathinaikos coach, Zeljko Obradovic, who is currently in charge of Fenerbahce, was voted the best coach in the EuroLeague with more than half the votes. A former player under Obradovic at Panathinaikos, Sarunas Jasikevicius, was second in voting for the work the former Panathinaikos player has done with Zalgiris.
