The Greek Cup Last 16 draw details and seedings
The group stages of the Greek Cup concluded on Thursday and 16 teams will partake in the knockout stages of the competition. The Round of 16 draw will take place on Monday.
The stage is set for the Greek Cup Round of 16 after the conclusion of the group stages on Thursday. The Round of 16 draw will take place on Monday at 12:00 PM local Greek time and the eight group winners will be seeded in the draw (pot 1) while the eight group runner-ups will be unseeded (pot 2).
A team from pot 1 will be paired with a team from pot 2 to form the eight pairs in the Last 16. Teams that were in the same group during the group stages cannot be paired in the Last 16, thus each team will have seven possible opponents in Monday’s draw.
The knockout stages will be played under a two-leg format with the unseeded teams playing the first leg at home, meaning the seeded teams will host the return leg. The first leg matches are scheduled for December 19-21 and the return legs will take place just after the new year on January 9-11. The final is scheduled for May 12, 2018.
Below are the 16 teams that will enter Monday’s draw, including 14 teams from the Superleague and 2 teams from the Football League (Second division).
