Torino and Premier League teams interested in Karnezis
Orestis Karnezis will likely leave Udinese in the offseason with teams from the English Premier League and Italian side Torino interested in the Greece international.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Orestis Karnezis is expected to leave Udinese for a new club this summer despite another great season with Bianconeri Friuliani. The Italian side are looking to invest in their young goalkeepers, which are considered the country’s biggest upcoming talents, something that was seen in Udinese’s final three matches of the season when youngster Simone Scuffet was given playing time ahead of Karnezis.
Reports mention that teams from England are interested in the Greek goalkeeper, including Crystal Palace and Marco Silva’s Watford. Of course, an opportunity to play in arguably the world’s strongest football league could be an inviting career opportunity for the 31-year old.
In addition, Torino also have Karnezis on their watchlist as they will lose their starting goalkeeper, Joe Hart, to Manchester City after his loan deal in Italy came to an end.
