Tsimikas helps Willem II win with acrobatic goal
Greek left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas hit the target again for Willem II, scoring the second goal in his club’s 3:2 Eredivisie victory against Utrecht.
Tsimikas only joined Willem II on loan from Olympiacos in summer 2017, but the 21-year old has impressed during his debut campaign in the Netherlands, cementing his place on the left side of defence and popping up with the odd goal. Scoring in the win over Utrecht, Tsimikas found the net in the second consecutive Eredivisie match.
With Willem II trailing 1:2 after 45 minutes, Tsimikas put together a neat passing play with a teammate, wriggled free inside the penalty area and hooked the ball into the far right corner with a superb acrobatic volley. Willem II eventually won the match 3:2.
At this moment in time, Willem II occupy 13th place in the Eredivisie table with 30 points. Tsimikas boasts three goals to his name in all competitions.
