Ever since Adelino Vieirinha left PAOK for Wolfsburg in January 2012, PAOK fans have looked forward to his return to their team. Every summer his name has popped up on the rumour mill, however these reports remained rumors as Vieirinha was out of PAOK’s reach.
On frequent occasions he expressed his love for the Dikefalos tou Vorra and recently, in an with the newspaper FORZA he stated that he wishes to return one day back to PAOK. Not only does Vieirinha want to end his career in Thessaloniki with his beloved PAOK, his will is to also help the Thessalonikis achieve their goals. He went on to say that he cannot stop thinking about his return to PAOK and that it crosses his mind every day.
After avoiding relegation in the Bundesliga, Wolfsburg want to “freshen up” their roster for the upcoming season. PAOK are willing to take the extra mile and bring the player back to Thessaloniki while Vieirinha is willing to lower his financial demands for his return.
PAOK’s first priority is to resolve the coaching situation as Vladan Ivic looks to be on his way out. The final meeting between Michel and Ivic will take place on Wednesday. When this is resolved, PAOK will turn their attention to enhancing their roster with Vieirinha’s case to be put on the table.
As for Gojko Cimirot, in an interview with “Radiosarajevo.ba” he stated that he has received an offer from a club in Germany. Nothing has officially been reported by the club, but PAOK price Cimirot at €4 Million.
