Vukovic the last of Olympiacos’ signings before qualifying
Jagos Vukovic will be Olympiacos’ last signing before the club enters the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round starting July 25/26.
After a two-week signing spree, Olympiacos will pause in the signings department and turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round which is set to kick-off on July 25/26. The Superleague champions were drawn with the winner of Partizan/Budućnost with the Serbian club holding a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.
Over the last weeks Olympiacos signed many players to enhance the team’s roster for the new season including Tachtsidis, Emenike, Carcela, Ofoe, and most recently Vukovic. According to sportfm.gr, Vukovic will be the last signing before Olympiacos play both matches in the third qualifying round. The club feels that they have granted all of coach Besnik Hasi’s demands and he now has the roster at his hands to take the Erythrolefki to the Champions League group stages.
If Olympiacos manage to get past Partizan or Budućnost, the club could begin negotiations with additional players (Gillet and an additional strike and/or stopper). However, major developments are expected if the Erythrolefki qualify for the group stages meaning a large sum of money will be secured for the new season.
