World Record, Gold, Bronze in eventful World Cup weekend for Korakaki
It was an eventful weekend for Greek shooter, Anna Korakaki, who set a new World Cup record and won two medals (Gold & Bronze) at the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol in Fort Benning, USA.

The Olympic champion began her World Cup campaign by winning the bronze medal in the 25m air pistol event on Thursday. After a slow start, Korakaki finished off strong to claim third place with 29 points finishing behind first placed Maria Grozdeva of Bulgaria with 35 points and Serbia’s Zorana Arunovic with 32 points.
On Saturday in the 10m air pistol event, Korakaki qualified for the final in style by setting a new world record with 587 out of 600 points, breaking the world record of 583 points. In her six qualifying sets, Korakaki scored with an impressive 99, 98, 98, 99, 96, 97!
In the final, the 2016 Olympic gold medalist did not disappoint as she finished with 243.7 points ahead of Serbia’s Arunovic with 240.1 points and the bronze medalist Klaisuban of Thailand with 219.1 points.
