-- Winless Streak Continues for Iraklis & Platanias --
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 10
|Iraklis||1 - 1||Platanias|
|Kyriakidis 68'||Giakoumakis 29'|
Iraklis came closer, but in the end were unable to pick up the win versus Platanias as they drew 1-1. In Savvas Pantelidis’ debut on the Iraklis bench, the Thessaloniki were improved, but not enough to claim their first win of the season. On the other end, Platanias remained winless for a sixth consecutive match.
Platanias opened the match on top as they pressed for an opening goal. That came just before the half hour when Alexandros Apostolopoulos shrugged off two tackles and fired home a superb shot to make it 1-0 to Platanias.
Iraklis pressed more in the second half and were rewarded in the 68th minute. Platanias goalkeeper Dimitris Sotiriou mistimed grabbing a cross and Pavlos Kyriakidis was on hand to nod home the equalizer. Instead of that tying goal pushing Iraklis on, it was Platanias who had the chances to win the match and the 1-1 was probably an unjust for the visitors based on the play over 90 minutes.
Iraklis stay rock bottom of the division with 3 points while Platanias join two other sides on 10 points in 9th position.
