GREEK A1 BASKET LEAGUE: ESAKE’s board of directors have decided to reduce the number of teams competing in the Basket League due to the lack of competitiveness in the league. The 2018/19 Basket League will be conducted with 13 teams and will be reduced to 12 teams for the 2019/20 season.
GREEK NATIONAL BASKETBALL TEAM: The Greek U20 national team became the fourth Greek team to go undefeated in a tournament and win gold at either the European or World Championships. With yet another triumph at the international level, Greece’s national teams have now won a total of 30 medals in the World and European Championships.
WOMEN'S GREEK NATIONAL DEAF BASKETBALL TEAM: The women’s deaf Greek national basketball team added another golden page to Greek Basketball history. Our girls prevailed over Lithouania in the final and deservedly won the gold medal. The men’s squad lost to Ukraine and were ranked fourth.
