Panathinaikos defeated Aris 84-68 in Game 5 of the Greek A1 Basket League Playoff Semi-Finals and won the best of 5 series 3-2. The prasini will now play Olympiacos in the Basket League Finals!

Panathinaikos took control of the game early and went ahead by double digits in the first quarter. With their great defensive play, Panathinaikos continued to show their dominance and increased their lead to 19 points in the second quarter. By the end of the half, Aris was able to stay in the game, cutting the lead to 12 points. The Thessalonikiotes were the better side at the beginning of the half and the lead was cut to 6 points. Feldeine responded for the prasinoi and the double digit was restored. The visitors did not stop pressing Panathinaikos, keeping the game within 9 points into the final quarter. Panathinaikos kept their “safe” lead throughout the fourth quarter and in the final minutes put the game out of reach for Aris, winning 84-68. Feldeine and Gist, who were suspended for Game 4, led Panathinaikos with 23 and 16 points, respectively. Additionally, Calathes and Williams each scored 15 point for the home side. McNeal kept the visitors in the game with 18 points and White had 17 points.

Panathinaikos will play Olympiacos in the A1 Basket League Finals. The series will start on Thursday with the first game taking place at the S.E.F. Stadium.
