**Panathinaikos leads the series 2-0**

On Dimitri Diamantidis’ 36th birthday Panathinaikos defeated Aris 74-60 in Game 2 of the Greek A1 Basket League Playoff Semi-Finals. It was a rather easy win for the Greens as they now lead the best of five series 2-0. On Monday, they will hope to clinch their place in the finals during Game 3 in Thessaloniki.

The home side took control of the game early pulling ahead by 13 points by the end of the first quarter. With their great defensive play, Panathinaikos forced many turnovers and continued to dominate the game. The double digit lead remained and Panathinaikos took a 14 point lead into halftime. The Greens continued to show their superiority in the game and essentially secured the win by the third quarter, taking a 19 point lead. In the final quarter, Aris was able to cut the lead to 10 pionts, however the deficit was too high to overcome and Panathinaikos was victorious 74-60. Six players for the home side scored double digit points, including the birthday boy Dimitris Diamantidis with 11 points. Calathes and Williams were the leading scorers for Panathinaikos and Walters led Aris with 15 points.

Panathinaikos now leads the series 2-0 and is one win away from booking their place in the Finals. Game 3 will be held on May 9th in Thessaloniki.
