Panathinaikos defeated Maccabi Tel-Aviv 83-75 in overtime to move up to 4-2 in the Euroleague Season. Chris Singleton was the MVP on the night, scoring a career-high 26 points in the Euroleague.

Panathinaikos had a 16-point lead (46-30) midway through the 3rd quarter before the visitors staged a big comeback to pull within 2-points (52-50) at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Two important 3-pointers from Bouchouridis gave the Trifylli an 8 point lead, but Maccabi Tel-Aviv once again responded and went ahead 64-67 late in the game. Down by two with roughly 10 seconds remaining, Gist brought Panathinaikos level to send the game to overtime (Smith and Calathes missed from behind the arch for a winner).

Maccabi Tel-Aviv’s resistance weared off in the extra period as Panathinaikos caught fire from behind the arch laying to rest any hopes of yet another Maccabi comeback. Panathinaikos went on to win 83-75 and earned their fourth victory in this year’s Euroleague season.
