Aris defeated Koroivos in double overtime in one of the best matches of this year’s Greek A1 Basket League while Rethymno remained perfect at home after their victory against Trikala. The two newly promoted sides, Doxa Lefkadas and Prometheus, were victorious against Kymis and Lavrio, respectively.

In one of the best matches of this year’s Greek A1 Basket League, Aris prevailed in double overtime against Koroivos 94-99. It was a difficult night for the team from Thessaloniki as they overcame a 22-point deficit to send the game into overtime. In the second extra time, Aris was led by Jankovic as they scored the first 9 points to pull ahead 90-99. Rethymno continued their perfect record at home after defeating Trikala 84-56. The losing side kept the game close in the first half, but an explosive second half from the hosts gave them their 3rd straight victory at home and their fourth overall in this year’s Greek A1 Basket League. Fitzpatrick was the leading scorer for Rethymno with 20 points while picking up 8 rebounds. A late comeback against Kymis was enough for Doxa Lefkadas to earn their second victory in this year’s Greek A1 Basket league. As Kymi was ahead by 6-points, a 9-0 run to end the game gave Doxa Lefkadas an 84-81 victory in a battle between two newly promoted sides. Prometheus made a statement that they are here to stay after recording their third victory of the season. The team from Patra defeated Lavrio 64-61 with Clark scoring the winning 3-pointer for the hosts with only 14 seconds remaining. Clark was also the leading scorer for Prometheus with 15 points and Johnson followed with 10 points. Lavrio moves to 3-3, along with Prometheus, after today’s defeat. Highlights can be found here...
