-- Mitroglou Scores Twice in Benfica’s Big Win --
Kostas Mitroglou scored twice in Benfica’s 6-0 win against Maritimo in the 4th Round of the Portuguese Cup. Mitroglou found the back of the net at the end of the first half and 8 minutes after the restart.
Benfica dominated Maritimo to come away with a 6-0 win in the 4th Round of the Portuguese Cup. Kostas Mitroglou added his name to the scoresheet on two occasions as he found the back of the net in the 43rd and 53rd minutes. Mitroglou’s first goal gave Benfica a 3-0 lead with a diving header and he added Benfica’s fourth with a good finish from the top of the penalty area. Mitroglou has been in good form with his club as of late and it seems that the international break has not affected his performance with the “Eagles.”
Cervi opened the score as early as the 2nd minute and Pizzi doubled his side’s lead in the 38th minute. Jimenez and Guedes added two goals after Mitroglou’s double as Benfica advanced to the next round of the Portuguese Cup.
