Iraklis earned their first victory of the season, defeating Apollon Smyrnis 3-0 while Panetolikos recorded their first victory in the completion in over 3-years after their 1-0 win over Panthrakikos. Larissa was victorious over Panelefsiniakos and Kerkyra/Lamia played to a 2-2 draw. Panionios’ match against Kissamikos was called off due to poor weather conditions.

Panetolikos celebrated their first win in over three years in the Greek Cup after defeating Panthrakikos 1-0 in Agrinio. Warda scored the only goal of the game in the 12th minute from a controversial penalty call. Roussakis committed a foul on a Panetolikos player, but according to the replay, the offense was committed outside the penalty area. The last time Panetolikos was victorious in a Greek Cup fixture was on October 31, 2013 when they defeated Kerkyra 1-0. Since then, they have suffered nine defeats in nine games. The win moves Panetolikos up three points along with Atromitos and Panthrakikos.  Highlights can be found here...

Larissa came away with a rather easy 2-1 victory over Panelefsiniakos at the AEL FC Arena. The final score is quite deceiving as Larissa dominated the 90 minutes of play. The hosts opened the scoring in the 30th minute when Dodo took advantage of a mistake in the Panelefsiniakos back-line. The visitors surprisingly pulled level in the 51st minute through a great header from Angeloudis, but the Vyssini quickly responded with a powerful, low shot from Avraam that found the back of the net. The hosts missed many chances to seal victory with a third goal, but the 2-1 score remained at the final whistle. Larissa now sits on 3 points in the group along with Trikala and PAOK as Panelefsiniakos remains pointless after two games. Highlights can be found here...

Kerkyra and Lamia produced an entertaining 2-2 draw in Kerkyra for the second Matchday of the Greek Cup. The hosts opened the scoring in the 12th minute after good passing between Kontos and Thuram allowed Kontos to give his side the 1-0 lead. The visitors pulled level five minutes later with a fantastic free kick from Wanderson and the comeback was complete three minutes before the break, as Omo’s effort gave Lamia the 1-2 lead. In the second half, Kerkyra went on the attack and found the equalizer in the 55th minute when Georgakopoulos’s header was fortunate to end up in the back of the net. With the scores level, both teams pressed for a winner, but neither side could convert their chances into a goal. In the 75th minute, Kerkyra was left with 10 men after Zorbas was sent off with a second yellow, but the sending off did not impact the final result as the teams earned a point from today's match. The draw keeps Kerkyra well off the pace from advancing to the next round while Lamia is in a commanding position. Lamia and AEK each have 4 points from two games while both Kerkyra and Anagennisi Karditsas sit with 1-point in Group F.  Highlights can be found here...

Iraklis earned their FIRST win of the season, thrashing Apollon Smyrnis 3-0 in Thessaloniki. Passas gave Iraklis the 1-0 lead in the 30th minute with a well-placed effort that was created by a clever through pass from Angelopoulos. Passas added his name to the score sheet for the second time in the 43rd minute, doubling Iraklis’ lead. Apollon Smyrnis’ last hopes of a late comeback were laid to rest in the 73rd minute when Kone was sent off with a second yellow card and 13 minutes later, Kouros scored Iraklis’ third goal of the night, giving the Giraios their first win of the season. Iraklis sits on 4-points after two games and will only need a point in their final away fixture against OFI. Apollon Smyrnis remain on 3-points after today’s defeat before their tough test against Panathinaikos on Matchday 3. Highlights can be found here...
