11-Dec-16 Acharnaikos 3 - 1 Kallithea
11-Dec-16 Lamia 1 - 0 Trikala
11-Dec-16 OFI 3 - 0 Chania

Lamia shutout their opponents for yet another game this season as they defeated Trikala 1-0 while OFI defeated Chania 3-0 in the Cretan battle. Panserraikos and Acharnaikos added three points to their tally after wins over Panegialios and Kallithea. Kalloni and Panthrakikos played to a 1-1 draw.

Lamia stayed atop the Football League standings after an impressive 1-0 victory over Trikala. Despite Lamia being left with ten men in the 83rd minute, the hosts were able to find the breakthrough two minutes later with Anastasiadis’ goal. The win keeps Lamia two points clear of second placed Aris and Apollon Smyrnis. Lamia have yet to concede a goal in this year’s Football League after five games.

OFI came away with a rather easy 3-0 victory over Chania in the Cretan battle. Komesidis opened the scoring late in the first half and the hosts doubled their lead two minutes after the restart with Chanti’s goal. A great night for OFI was capped off with Randy’s goal in second half stoppage time, giving OFI their second win of the season. They sit in 8th place with eight points, five behind the league leaders, while Chania are near the bottom of the table with four points from five games.

Acharnaikos continued their great start to the Football League, defeating Kallithea 3-1. Matsoukas opened the scoring in the 15th minute and Tzioras doubled Acharnaikos’ lead in the 72nd minute. Papatolios put the game out of reach by giving Acharnaikos a 3-0 advantage before Gini netted a consolation goal for the visitors in the 82nd minute. Despite starting the season with a two point deduction, Acharnaikos sit in fourth place in the standings. Kallithea remain in the relegation zone with only three points from five games.

Panserraikos were victorious 4-2 over Panegialios, keeping them in a high position in the standings. The team from Serres took the lead with Kakkos in the 22nd minute before two goals from Kritikos in the 33rd and 62nd minutes saw the visitors take a 1-2 lead. However three goals in 12 minutes from the hosts (Tsimikas 67’, Kanoulas 74’, Voskopoulos 79’) gave them all three points in an entertaining fixture.

Last year’s relegated teams from the Superleague, Kalloni and Panthrakikos, played to a 1-1 draw in Mytilene. Both goals were scored in the opening 20 minutes with Kalloni taking the lead in the 6th minute with Burdajan and Plegas equalized in the 18th minute for Panthrakikos. The point did not benefit either side as both teams have gotten off to a slow start for the season.
