Olympiacos recorded their eighth win in the Euroleague after defeating Zalgiris 75-88 in Kaunas. Printezis left the game in the fourth quarter with an injury.

Olympiacos walked away with another win on the road after a 75-88 victory in Kaunas against Zalgiris.  The first three-quarter saw both teams exchange the lead as the Erythrolefki took a small three point advantage into the fourth quarter.

Strong defensive play along with big shots on the other end of the court gave Olympiacos a double-digit lead midway through the fourth quarter. The big lead proved to be decisive in the end as Olympiacos’ strong fourth quarter led them to victory.

After Hackett’s injury in last week’s Euroleague match against UNICS Kazan, which will keep him sidelined for the rest of the season, Printezis also left the game with an injury in today’s game. Tomorrow’s medical results will reveal the damage to his left knee.

Lojeski and Papanikolaou each had 16-points for Olympiacos while Spanoulis came up big in critical points of the game, finishing with 10-points and 8-assists. The injured Printezis finished the game with 15-points.

Olympiacos now move up to 8-4 in the Euroleague and are currently tied with Real Madrid, Fenerbahce, and Laboral Kutxa for second in the standings.
