Panathinaikos defeated PAOK 1-3 set in the rescheduled match for the 5th Round of the Greek Volley League. The match was only a derby for the first set as Panathinaikos went on to celebrate a rather comfortable victory.

In an entertaining first set, where both teams exchanged the lead, PAOK was victorious 26-24 to take an early 1-0 lead in the match. However, it was a different story for the three sets that followed. Panathinaikos built a commanding lead in the second set and went on to win 20-25, tying the match at 1-1. The visitors clearly had the momentum and came away with comfortable victories in the third (19-25) and fourth sets (18-25), winning the match 1-3.

The win puts the Trifylli in second place in the Greek Volley League standings, only two points behind the leaders Olympiacos. PAOK will be disappointed after coming up short in their second derby of the season, sitting 5-points behind the Erythrolefki.
