Nikos Lymberopoulos has returned to Panathinaikos after 13.5 years. The 41-year old was announced today as Panathinaikos’ new technical director.
Nikos Lymberopoulos is the new technical director of Panathinaikos. The 41-year old will be Gilberto Silva’s successor in his new role. Lymberopoulos played for Panathinaikos from 1996-2003 and will look to help the club achieve its goals for the season.
Panathinaikos officially announced the addition of Lymberopoulos earlier today with the former Greek international stating “I thank Panathinaikos for the opportunity they have given me. I will give my very best to help the club accomplish its goals this season.”
In addition to Lymberopoulos, Takis Fyssas was also announced as the director of the club’s academies. Like Lymberopoulos, Fyssas played for Panathinaikos from 1998-2004 and from 2007-2008. He was also apart of the Greek team that won the Euro 2004 Championships in Portugal.
