-- Olympiacos & PAOK’s Possible Opponents in the Last 32 --
Greece will continue with two teams in the UEFA Europa League knockout stages after both PAOK and Olympiacos advanced to the next round. Both Greek clubs finished in second place of their respective groups and will be unseeded in Monday’s draw.
The UEFA Europa League group stages concluded on Thursday and we are now down to 32 teams. The top two teams from each Europa League group (total of 12 groups), totaling 24 teams, along with the 8 third placed teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage will make up the Europa League Round of 32. The matches in this round will be played in a two-legged (home and away) knockout system and will be held on February 16th and 23rd.
For Monday’s draw, which will take place at 7:00 AM (EST), the 32 teams will be separated into a seeded and unseeded pot. The seeded pot will consist of the Europa League group winners and the 4 best third placed teams from the Champions League. The unseeded pot will consist of the Europa League group runner-ups and the remaining four Champions League teams. A seeded team will be drawn with an unseeded team and the seeded team will play the second leg at home. A reminder that teams from the same country cannot be drawn together nor teams that competed against each other in the Europa League group stage.
Both Olympiacos and PAOK will be unseeded for Monday’s draw as they finished second in their respected groups. Their possible opponents (seeded teams) are listed below. *Olympiacos cannot be drawn with APOEL and PAOK cannot be drawn with Fiorentina.*
