Olympiacos 2:45 PM (EST) Hapoel Be'er Sheva

Olympiacos kicks off in this season's UEFA Champions League 3rd Qualifying round against Hapoel Be’er Sheva and brings you a preview of today’s game. Kick off is scheduled for 2:45 PM (EST), 9:45 PM (Greek time).

Olympiacos: Olympiacos will look to put an end to their bad record against Israeli teams when they host Hapoel Be’er Sheva at the Karaiskaki Stadium. The Greek Champions are the clear favorites in tonight’s match and will hope to get a decisive result that will “secure” their place in the next round from the first leg. Anything other than a victory (preferably without conceding an away goal) will be a disappointment for the hosts before they travel to Israel next week. Not underestimating their opponents and putting together a serious performance will be the key to victory for the Erythrolefki.

Starting Line-up: Victor Sanchez is expected to play in a 4-2-3-1 formation in tonight’s match. Kapino will be under the goalposts with Figueiras, Siovas, Botia, and de la Bella in front of him. Bouchalakis will partner Milivojevic in the holding midfield positions with Durmaz and Seba (over Pardo) on the wings. Fortounis will return to his “10ari” attacking midfield position while Ideye will be the lone striker. Despite having small injuries, Dominguez and Maniatis will be on the bench while Pulido and Omar's injuries ruled them out of the roster.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva: The Israeli champions believe in a good result in tonight’s match and will look to surprise Olympiacos. The club had internal problems earlier in the week when Ogu was accused of meeting with the technical Director of Maccabi Tel-Aviv (last year’s runner-ups in the Israeli Premier League). Additionally, Maor Buzaglo expressed his dissatisfaction with the coach after minimal playing time against Sheriff Tiraspol in the 2nd Qualifying Round. The Israeli midfielder has threatened to the leave the club as he played an integral role in last year’s championship run. Hapoel Be’er Sheva is expected to play in a 4-3-3 formation with the starting XI consisting of: Goresh, Bitton, Davidzada, Vitor, Soares, Ogu, Brown (taking the place of Hoban who is suspended), Radi, Melikson, Nwakaeme, and Barda.

Referee: The head official is Manuel De Sousa from Portugal . He has never refereed a game for Olympiacos but was in charge of two matches for Asteras Tripolis during the 2014-2015 Europa League including a 2-2 draw with Besiktas in Tripoli and Asteras Tripoli’s 1-0 loss in Mainz during qualifying.

TV Listings: There will not be TV coverage in the United States, Canada, or Australia. However will be showing the game which provides a reliable and good quality stream. In Greece, Novasport 2 will broadcast the game. More info under TV Listings page.
