- Torosidis Leaves Roma for Bologna -
AS Roma have sold Greek International Vasilis Torosidis to Bologna. Torosidis signed a 2-year contract with his new club.
After a 3-year stay in Italy’s capital, Vasilis Torosidis has made a move to Bologna. The Greek International signed a 2+1-year contract with the Serie A club with the deal closing at €1 million. In his three years at AS Roma, Torosidis made 77 appearances and scored 6 goals for the club.
The National Team’s captain was also rumored to be in talks with his former club Olympiacos, but Torosidis preferred to stay in Italy.
Despite the heavy interest from many of Europe's top clubs, Kostas Manolas will remain for another season at Roma. Additionally, Olympiacos will lose out on a lot of money with Manolas' stay in Italy, as a move this summer for the Greek defender would have given Olympiacos half of the transfer deal (estimated to be around €20 million).
