- Dellas Sacked by Atromitos -
Atromitos announced the sacking of their manager Traianos Dellas after two defeats to open the Greek SuperLeague season. Marinos Ouzounidis’ name has been rumored as Dellas’ successor.
Atromitos have gotten off to a horrible start for the 2016-2017 SuperLeague season, falling heavily to PAS Giannina 3-0 in their opening game and losing this weekend at home to Panetolikos 0-2. Due to their poor form, the people at Atromitos have decided to sack their current manager Traianos Dellas. “Atromitos FC announces the termination of their contract with manager Traianos Dellas. We thank him for everything and wish him good luck in his future career” Dellas went on to thank the president, the club, and his players for allowing him to manage team. Dellas took over Atromitos in November 2015, leading the club just points away from a place in the 2016 SuperLeague Playoffs.
According to sportfm.gr, Marinos Ouzounidis, who was released from Panionios earlier in the summer, is an option that Atromitos is currently weighing.
