The Greek team celebrated another GOLD and BRONZE medal at the Paralympic Games in Rio. Manolis Stefanoudakis won gold in the Men’s Javelin Thrown while Dimitri Bakochristos won bronze in Men’s Weightlifting.
It was another great day for the Greeks at the Rio Paralympic Games. Manolis Stefanoudakis won the GOLD medal in the Men’s Javelin Throw F54 Category. His first throw of 29.45 meters set an Olympic Record and was unsurpassed by the end of the competition. The silver went to Felix from Mexico while Tripic from Belarus won bronze. It is Greece’s second gold medal after Thanasis Konstantinidis won gold in the Men’s Shot Put yesterday.
Greece won their second medal of the day and their second BRONZE at these Paralympic Games with Dimitris Bakochristos. The Greek athlete competed in the Men’s Weightlifting under 54 kg category and lifted 162 kg on his first attempt. He came close to the silver medal but failed to lift 170 kg in his two attempts.
